The Belgian Red Devils have a new staff
The selection for new national coach Domenico Tedesco's first matches is set to be announced on Friday afternoon 17 March. It is clear what his sporting staff will look like.

Compared to the previous years with big tournaments, the RBFA has this year opted for a more compact staff.
“For the first time since Covid, we have a normal calendar with five international periods of two matches each and no big tournament until next year. This means we don’t need an extensive general staff (technical, medical and logistic/operational). For this reason we have reduced the number in order to have a more compact staff while maintaining its qualities. The number of technical staff members remains nearly unchanged.”
Jelle Schelstraete, Operational Director Football
In addition to the national coach himself, the new sporting staff consists of five other staff members he will bring along: assistant coaches Andreas Hinkel and Thomas Schneider, goalkeeper coach Max Urwantschky, physical coach Vladimir Cepzanovic, and performance analyst Umberto Tedesco. Luke Benstead, who worked as chief analyst under Roberto Martínez, is also part of Domenico Tedesco's sporting staff as assistant coach and performance analyst.
“I am very happy with the new members of our staff. They fit 100 percent in terms of content and personality. You could feel in the talks right from the start that they are highly motivated and want to achieve a lot with the Belgian team. We now have a very good mix in the coaching team. Andreas Hinkel was a national player and took part in a major tournament. Thomas Schneider was not only a professional player, but also spent many years in the coaching staff of the Germany team. He brings a lot of experience in this field.”
