Second #DEVILTIME campaign puts Belgian Red Devils fans in Eastern ambiance
The RBFA creates a warm atmosphere for home fans during the World Cup

- Impressive fan village in Vilvoorde, in true 'Lawrence of Arabia' style
- Tracking down Devil QR codes to win lots of cool goodies
- Virtual RBFA world for youngest fans in the popular game Roblox
A month before the World Cup opening match, the Royal Belgian Football Association is launching a massive campaign to warm up fans. #DEVILTIME immerses Belgium in a true Oriental atmosphere and makes everyone dream that our national team will add another fairy tale to the tales of One Thousand and One Nights. On the one hand, the football federation is creating a true fan village in Vilvoorde. In addition, fans can collect Devil QR codes with a playful savings campaign and exchange them for fun goodies. Finally, for the first time ever, the RBFA also has a special action in store for the very youngest fans: they can have fun in a virtual RBFA world in the popular game Roblox.
During the 2021 European Championships, the RBFA launched a #DEVILTIME campaign for the very first time. For the World Cup, the RBFA is putting the #DEVILTIME campaign in a 'Lawrence of Arabia' outfit. The aim is to immerse the many home fans during the cold winter months in a warm fairytale atmosphere of One Thousand and One Nights and make them dream of another successful World Cup. In this way, the RBFA hopes to bring the largest possible group of supporters to their feet this autumn.
"A lot of Belgians won't get the chance to follow the World Cup locally this year. Moreover, a World Cup in the autumn is something unusual. That's why we want to unite our fans even more than at previous tournaments and offer a real competition experience which is why we are building a big fan village. That way, fans can unite as one behind our Belgian Red Devils and the golden generation can shine again after 2018."
Manu Leroy, Director of Marketing and Communication of the RBFA
Fan village with souk, fire eaters and belly dancers
Vilvoorde will have the honour of hosting the official fan village of the Belgian Red Devils during the World Cup. The RBFA will transform Asiat Park into an Oriental village where fans will be able to watch all the Belgians' matches live on big screens and be immersed in the atmosphere of the fairy tales of One Thousand and One Nights. Souk, belly dancers and fire eaters, to the tones of StuBru DJs, will give supporters a warm feeling in an overwhelming football atmosphere amidst a unique setting for every match.
"We are honoured, as Yannick Carrasco's hometown, to host all the Belgian Red Devils' supporters from across the country. With Asiat Park, we are also using one of our new assets. For the very diverse football fans from Vilvoorde, this is an ideal opportunity to be able to follow the Belgian Red Devils in the best conditions and in the craziest World Cup atmosphere, together with supporters from all over the country."
Mayor Hans Bonte of Vilvoorde
The fan village will be accessible on the days the Belgian Red Devils play. That will be the case on Wednesday 23 (Belgium - Canada) and Sunday 27 November (Belgium - Morocco) and on Thursday 1 December (Croatia - Belgium). If the Belgian Red Devils advance to the knockout phase of the World Cup, the fan village will also open its doors. Tickets are on sale from today from 10 Euro.
Search for Devil QR codes via playful savings campaign
During the World Cup, the RBFA will continue the playful savings campaign it devised for the Red Flames last summer. Just like during the European Women's Championship, fans will again be able to look for thousands of QR codes. By scanning those codes with the RBFA app, fans save points that they can exchange for fun goodies such as autographed jerseys, smartphones, footballs, concerts and many other fun gadgets. This time, it's not flames, but Devil QR codes.
"The flame scavenger hunt created a hugely playful experience among our Flames' fans during the past European Championship. Back then, as many as 40,000 QR codes were scanned. So we decided to set up a similar quest for the fans of our Belgian Red Devils. Our fans will find the codes in the fan village in Vilvoorde, via our digital channels and our partners. The scavenger hunt will start at the beginning of November."

Virtual world in Roblox for the youngest fans
The RBFA is not forgetting its youngest fans during this World Cup. The RBFA is building together with ING an RBFA world in the popular video game Roblox. The RBFA will provide more information on this in early November.
