Royal Belgian Football Association launches brand new app

Extensive news feed, video zone with exclusive content and convenient ticket purchase for Belgian Red Devils and Red Flames: now via every football fan’s smartphone

The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA), Voetbal Vlaanderen and ACFF are launching the new RBFA app, the digital football portal for every fan of Belgian football. Through the app, loyal fans of our national teams will have a front row seat at all press conferences and receive exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and additional interviews with players and staff. As icing on the cake, everyone will be able to follow their favourite amateur or youth player via the RBFA app and buy tickets for the matches of the Belgian Red Devils, the Red Flames, and other national teams in one go.

If you love Belgian football, you should download the brand-new RBFA app from the Football Association today, on your smartphone via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The application will become the digital portal that serves every amateur footballer and fan of the national teams in his or her preferred way, for example in terms of exclusive content, statistics and tickets.

“We previously redesigned the BBF app in December 2020, but today we are taking the next step with the launch of the RBFA app. Through the app, our loyal fans will be able to closely follow the ins and outs of our national teams: news, exclusive video content and live streaming of press conferences, and matches of our national youth teams. It’s a huge digital step forward, and this is just the beginning! In the coming months we will continue to innovate and add even more features.”

Manu Leroy, Marketing and Communications Director RBFA

On Friday 19 March, every football fan in our country will receive national manager Roberto Martinez’ selection for the Belgian Red Devils matches against Wales, the Czech Republic and Belarus via the RBFA app, a first for football-loving Belgium.

Behind-the-scenes

Where fans used to follow the action through the RBFA social media channels, thanks to the digital talents of the communications team, they will now see and read even more extensively on the RBFA app. For example, players will be followed even more closely than before, during and after their matches, but also during camps and the preparation for major tournaments. In addition, the RBFA wishes to involve fans even more in national team matches by using polls, quizzes, and predictions in the app.

The launch of the new app means the old BBF app (with about 450,000 users) will merge with the new RBFA app. You will still find all the information related to amateur and youth football there. The application also has two separate fan zones for all news updates and video content of the two regional federations, Voetbal Vlaanderen and ACFF.

“All the functionalities of the BBF app have been integrated into the RBFA app. In fact, we ensure that everyone can follow everything through one and the same channel. Whether it's about our national teams, your favourite amateur or youth club, or individual players.”

Manu Leroy, Marketing and Communications Director RBFA

The possibility to order tickets for the matches of the Belgian Red Devils, the Red Flames and the other national teams via the new app is also important for fans. They can store those tickets digitally in the application. It is no longer necessary to print tickets.
