Red Flames will play Norway and Ireland in April

The Red Flames will prepare their World Cup qualitifcation campaign against Norway and Ireland on April 8 and 11. The matches will take place at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.

Our national women’s team played against the Netherlands and Germany in friendlies in February. In preparation for the next qualifying campaign, they will play against Norway and Ireland next month. Just like the match against the Netherlands, both matches will take place in the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. Belgium-Norway starts at 6 p.m., the match against Ireland starts at 7:30 p.m. and both can be followed on VTM and RTL.

The last time Belgium and Norway met dates back to 2017, when our Red Flames beat the Norwegians 0-2 in the final round of the European Championship. The Red Flames and Ireland last met in January 2019, when Belgium won 1-0 in a friendly match.

In September, our Red Flames will start their qualifying matches for the 2023 Women’s World Cup. In 2022, our national women’s soccer team will play in the final round of the 2022 Women’s Euro in England.
