OFFICIAL RBFA STATEMENT

The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) has taken note of FIFA's decision not to pursue the FFE proposal any further.

The RBFA believes that decisions with a fundamental impact on the future of international football must be reached through a transparent, thorough and inclusive decision-making process, with full respect for the existing governance structures and in close dialogue with the national associations, the confederations and all other stakeholders in football.

Pascale Van Damme, Chair of the RBFA Board of Directors and FIFA Council member:

"As a founding member of FIFA and a representative on the FIFA Council, the RBFA remains committed to a strong, independent and sustainable model for international football. We will continue to contribute to the debate on the future development of the global game in a constructive and responsible manner, always with the interests of member associations, clubs, players and supporters at heart."
