King Baudouin Stadium turns bright red for match against Austria
Tickets for Domenico Tedesco's first home match are going fast

Domenico Tedesco is counting on the support of an exuberant legion of supporters to make a dream start on Belgian soil. As part of the #WirSchaffenDas campaign, he calls for the King Baudouin Stadium to be transformed into a red-hot arena for the match against Austria on 17 June 2023. The RBFA provides a DJ and red signs but counts on the fans to complete the red party with scarves, sweaters, make-up, wigs, and other accessories. And those supporters promise to be present in large numbers because ticket sales are booming. More than 35,000 supporters have confirmed their presence. Anyone who wants to get a ticket for Tedesco's home debut should hurry.
Red hot stadium
The devilish madness is back after the Red Devils' great start in the qualifying campaign for the European Championship 2024, and the victory against Germany. Next appointment is the home game against Austria on 17 June 2023, the first home game of national coach Domenico Tedesco. A milestone that the fans clearly do not want to miss, because ticket sales are running at a breakneck pace. There are only 7,000 tickets left.
The hope is to fill the stadium, but the RBFA and Fan club 1895 are not waiting to launch additional initiatives as part of the #WirSchaffenDas campaign. This campaign was launched to support the Red Devils in the run-up to the European Championship in Germany in 2024. After a giant tifo full of supporter names for the match in Sweden and the Red Devils Express – a bus convoy with Belgian supporters – for the friendly match against Germany, the red-hot stadium is the third #WirSchaffenDas initiative.
The RBFA provides a red sign on every seat in the stadium. Thanks to these signs, fans will create a stadium-sized tifo when the players enter the pitch. All supporters are requested to come to the stadium in red. A DJ completes the party in the stadium. The ambition of the RBFA and Fan club 1895 is clear: to make the first match of national coach Domenico Tedesco on Belgian soil unforgettable.
“With the #WirSchaffenDas campaign we fan the fire of the team and the supporters, and the dream start under the new national coach naturally helps us with that. Against Austria we throw even more fuel on that fire. We want to blow Domenico 's socks off at his reception at the King Baudouin Stadium. And then it's up to him to blow the fans' – red – socks off with a resounding victory.”
– Manu Leroy, interim CEO RBFA
“Both in Sweden and in Germany, I really felt the support of our supporters. I have been told that the atmosphere in Brussels is even better, so I very much look forward to my Belgian debut. We want to take a new step toward the European Championship in 2024 against Austria. The support of the fans is more than welcome.”
– Domenico Tedesco, national coach
VIP training Red Devils and fan conference
200 members of the 1895 Fan club – Red Insiders – do not have to wait until the match against Austria to see the Red Devils at work. As part of the #WirSchaffenDas campaign, they will be attending the 1895 VIP training Red Devils on Monday 12 June 2023 at Proximus Basecamp.
Two days later, on Wednesday 14 June 2023, the RBFA and Fan club 1895 organise a Behind the Scenes, including a fan conference. In concrete terms, 200 Red Insiders will have the opportunity to discover the Proximus Basecamp during a tour and to meet two players. The registrations for both events go through Fan club 1895.
