Conflict in Ukraine: RBFA statement

The RBFA is extremely shocked by the Russian invasion in Ukraine and, like everyone else, deeply impressed by the situation in that country. The RBFA condemns in the strictest possible way the Russian aggression against Ukraine and expresses its great solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Football is also affected by this crisis, although it is completely secondary to the situation of so many civilians in Ukraine and the war situation on the ground. The RBFA fully supports the refusal of Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic to play against Russia for the World Cup qualifiers at the end of March. Apart from this support and the great solidarity towards Ukraine and its citizens, it is now simply impossible to finish safely matches against Russian teams, both on and off the pitch.
